Arto Carpus Castelo Foundation's operations in South Asia concentrate on  India. The beginning stages of our activities target the remote regions  of India, particularly around Dharamsala and the village of Naddi, which are  situated in the mountainous northern regions. The area was devastated by  an earthquake in 1905, which caused an almost total depopulation. Dharamsala  is especially notable for the presence of the Central Tibetan Administration  and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Several of India's sociopolitical challenges are environmental in nature,  and are being targeted by the Union Government's public policy. Arto Carpus  Castelo Foundation's driving principle is the creation of a connection between  mankind, nature and various cultures, which is achieved via improving and  supporting local entrepreneurship. This goal is in perfect harmony with the  aforementioned Union Government policy.

ACCF supports a number of fledgling entrepreneurs in the Dharamsalan  village of Naddi by educating them in various fields, ranging from linguistic  skills to the intricacies of business startup. Environmental responsibility  is a fundamental entrepreneurial value to ACCF projects.

"A clean environment is a human right.", His Holiness Dalai Lama, 1990.
