Arto Carpus Castelo Foundation's activities in Africa have especially concentrated  on São Tomé e Príncipe, and partly on South Africa as well. The foundation has both enabled  and supported entrepreneurship by offering education and giving guidance in fishing and  agriculture, among others. ACCF has supported local families by enabling and activating  education and entrepreneurship. The foundation has improved their quality of life by  renovating a local children's home. Child sponsorship is included in the foundation's  activities. In accordance to the foundation's principles, our activities in Africa have  been guided by the endeavour towards harmony between Mankind, Nature and Culture.

The foundation has participated in the SADA program, which is aimed towards preserving  a rare tortoise species. Through it, we have enabled 850 local children to have their own,  personal turtle, with the intention of instructing them in environmental responsibility  and ecological thinking.
